Preachers must preach how the Gospel (God’s teachings) will help us get through depression.  How His Word shows us how to fight and come against the obstacles of life in a Godless world.
We are scared!  We are hurt!   We are weak!  We are quiet!  None of these things are the attributes of a Christian.  In other countries, the mere recognition of one being a Christian could result in losing their family or even death.  Even in America, powers that be are trying to force us to be ashamed of who we are.  We must not wear a cross.  We must not have a nativity scene.  We must not talk about God to others.  We must not read our Bible in public.  We must not have prayer in public.
When will the Christians of this world stand up for what they believe in.   Some have done so and have been punished in one form or another.  Man can punish or kill the body but not the soul.  Not the Spirit.
If we are ashamed of our God on this earth, God will be ashamed of us when we stand before Him.  We should strive to live a life in which God will say: “well done, my good and faithful servant”.  Whom do we serve.  As for me and my house I SERVE THE LORD.
I am so dis-heartened and sad to see some examples of “Christianity” today.   Some go to church on Sunday after a “good time” at the bar on Saturday night.  Some think that by giving their tithe and offering that they are insured a place in Heaven.  God does not need your money.   The disciples were told to go out with no purse or scrip.  No money.  How did they survive?  God’s people provided “what they needed”.  Not an abundance.  Not money in the bank.  God gave what they needed, when they needed it.
It is our responsibility to tithe and give offerings for the needs of the church.  The church is not the building you attend.  The church is the missionaries, both in America and abroad.  The church is the person in need of food or clothing.   The church is God’s people.  We are there to help one another, not to increase a bank account.
Please, don’t misunderstand me.  Money is necessary.  In our own ministry, I pray for money for gasoline to travel to rest homes, truck stops and anywhere we can spread the Gospel.  I have lost money or barely broke even in every ministerial endeavor I have done.  But God still PROVIDES!
Faith is another thing we seem to be lacking.  Where God guides, God provides.  WHAT WE NEED.  If  God has called you to do something, do you have faith or do you wait for Him to give you the money.   God says JUMP!   I’ll give you the parachute on the way down.
As I said before, I believe someone needs to know that their hurting is not in vain.  Someone does care.  God cares.   I care.  Others care.  Let it be known that we are there to help one another.
If one is thinking of suicide.  DON’T.  It only makes the devil think he’s won.  If one does not heed God’s calling and does nothing, the devil has also won.  WE ARE CONQUERORS.  Let us go into the world and conquer it for God.
I may have made someone upset.  I may lose favor in someone’s eyes.  But I have and I will share what God gives me, the way He gives me.  Pray for me.  Love someone to Christ! |
