I have fought a good fight, I have finished my course, I have kept the faith: Henceforth there is laid up for me a crown of righteousness, which the Lord, the righteous judge, shall give me at that day: and not to me only, but unto all them also that love his appearing.

2 Timothy 4:7-8

This month our grandma’s only brother passed away. He fought a battle with a disease that first took his voice and then his ability to eat. He could write to us and in that way communicate. The last thing he was able to let his wife know was that he was ready to go home, not his earthly one but his heavenly one. While it’s been hard and sad to see him leave this world we know without a doubt that he has moved onto his reward with Jesus. He lived his life for Jesus and everyone could see that. While not rich with earthly possessions he laid up a crown of righteousness that he has been able to claim at last.
