What it’s like to be a Christian!

By James E. Crigger

Being a Christian doesn’t mean the same as it used to.  In my day, it meant giving your left to Jesus.  Because Jesus was watching, you made every effort to behaving like a Christian.  You didn’t lie or curse;  you didn’t live with  a girl, you married her.  Being a Christian meant you were a Christian.
Today,  You see someone wearing a cross and then see them behaving badly.  The cross they wear is a piece of jewelry.  A cross should be a reminder of a Savior who died for your sins.  A Savior who rose again.  A Savior who rose from the dead so you too can rise up from sin.
What’s it like to be a Christian?

Jesus.

When I went to the altar, I had The Salvation to take me to Heaven.  I now have The Salvation that will take me thru the trials that come with life. The Salvation was already there.  I just didn’t know it yet.
If you don’t allow Jesus to grow then you will not grow.  If you don’t grow then how will you stand against trials that will surely come against you.
Without that assurance that God is with me and working good, how will I know that something good is happening.  I may not understand it, but God said it and I know it because He  said it.
God is different to different people.  God doesn’t change, people change.  Remember that the next time you judge me.  I’m not finished yet.
God brings you up to be where He wants you and where He wants you.  Just let Him.  That’s what I mean by “Risen In Your Heart”.  You can’t be there if you don't accept His control.
Some say “he has Risen” but is He.  If He says go He means go Now.  If you’re not willing then He will say go to someone else and you will lose a blessing.  Some may say “I’m not worthy”.   why did He ask if  you were not worthy?
You will learn to trust God.  You will learn His voice.  He says “Try me and  see that I Am good”.  He will not put on you more than you can stand.  If God doesn’t want you to do it He won’t say it.
I have found it more and more difficult to write since my stroke but I’m still writing. You can and will go on with whatever He gives you,  Praise the Lord, life goes on.
God wants to save people and He will use anything to do it, even you.  Too many times we think that God has already given the plan to us when we are the plan.  Remember “none come unless the Spirit leads them”  You may be the tool that The Spirit is using.
I am preaching to myself also.  You cannot know how God is going to use you until He uses you.
In either case. if Jesus isn’t in your heart you will find it hard to deal with the problems that will come.  It means a lot to have someone (God) watching your back.
How do you know that Jesus is in your heart?  When Jesus is the first name you think of then He’s in your heart.
If He’s not, then It’s not too late.
