With the Christmas season upon us I think about the birth of our Savior Jesus Christ. Growing up our Pastor would always do a children’s moment in church before the sermon. He would invite all the children in the congregation to come up to the kneeling rail, sit down with all of us around him, and give us a short message. One year he told us the meaning of the candy cane and it has stuck with me to this day.
